Dear Parents,
I am very excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher. I know that Kindergarten is an important milestone in the life of your child and I am looking forward to providing him or her with the best learning experience possible.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1983. I moved to Tampa in 1988. I have been married for 29 years and have two children. My daughter is a Health Care Specialist in the United States Army. My son is a student at the University of South Florida.
I’ve been with the Hillsborough County School system since 1998. This is my 10th year teaching Kindergarten.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child. Working together as a team, we can give your child a fun, exciting, and successful year in Kindergarten.
I would encourage you to check your child’s purple parent-teacher communication folder daily for information from school. I will check your child’s communication folder each morning for any information you may want to pass on to me.
Please inform me in writing of any changes in your child’s dismissal plans. I also need to know of any health problems that your child has, including allergies.
Sincerely,
Gaby Collera
