Consequences for Breaking Rules:

These rules are designed to help our students develop self-discipline and maintain an orderly learning environment.  If rules are not followed, there are specific consequences.  Consequences may be any one of the following interventions.  Conferences with student, mediation (conflict resolution), parent conference, referral to office, time out in another classroom, in-school suspension, or out of school suspension.  All misbehaviors will result in behavior marked on the report card.

Sign-In and Sign-Out Procedures

Sign-In:  All students must sign-in if they arrive on campus after 8 a.m.  A parent or guardian must sign a student in and provide an acceptable reason for tardiness (illness, doctor’s appointment, etc.).  Students will be given a pass to report to class.

Sign-Out:  When signing out your child, please remember you must provide picture identification and be listed on the child’s Emergency Card. For your child’s safety, no exceptions will be made to this policy.  Students may not be signed out between 1:45 and 2:30, as dismissal is at 2:15.  Students who are not picked up by 2:30 p.m. will be taken to the main office.  Parents/guardians must come in to sign their child out.

We appreciate your cooperation as we minimize classroom interruptions at the end of the school day.

Attendance Procedures

Daily attendance is critical to a student’s success in school.  Please make every effort to have your child in school every day.  If it is necessary for your child  to be absent,  please call the 24-hour attendance line as soon as you know your child will be absent.   The number is 975-7625,  then press the number for the attendance line.  You will be prompted to leave the following information:

  •   your child’s name and grade level
  •   your name and relationship to the child
  •   a daytime phone number where you may be reached
  •   your child’s anticipated date of return
If your child will be missing three or more days of school, you may contact the office to request assignments from his or her teachers.  Please call at least one day in advance of the date you wish to pick up the assignments.

Drop-off and Pick-Up Information

Drop-Off:  Kindergarten, first and second graders and their siblings should be dropped off at our circular drive.  Third, fourth and fifth graders should be dropped off  at Pine Lake.
School begins promptly at 8 a.m.  For safety reasons, students should arrive on campus no earlier than 7:30 as there is no adult supervision before that time.

Pick-Up: Kindergarten, first, and second grade car riders are picked up in the circular drive.  Third, fourth, and fifth grade car riders are picked up at the front of the school just west of the traffic light on Pine Lake Drive.  Older siblings may go to circular drive with the younger students.  To pick up your child, stay in the single line of traffic on the right and pull up to the pick up point.

School dismissal is at 2:15 p.m.  We ask that students be picked up promptly after school.  At 2:30 students who have not been picked up are taken to the main office.  The parent/guardian must sign he/she out. No students should be on campus after 2:30 p.m.  unless they are participating in an After-School Program or a school-sponsored event.
